In this blog we are going to share how we created a floating topbar on our company's website - www.sparxsys.com The moment you open the site, the topbar looks normal, just like any other site, but the moment you start scrolling the bar goes up, disappears and it comes back and stays on top for the rest of the site. It could be a great way to engage with your users and highlight certain links of your website.
Learning Drupal is not difficult at all. You can learn to create a decent website in Drupal in few months only but when your site grows both in terms of content and functionality then you need to make sure that the site performance is not hampered and also it should be easy to maintain it. There are lot of mistakes that new Drupal developers do when they create big Drupal sites. Today we will highlight some of the things to keep in mind for creating and maintain a Drupal site.
If you have been working on Drupal creating websites then I am sure you must had a need to clone or duplicate a node. Let me give you an example. These days I am working on a website for one of my client where we need to display electronic house hold products like Water Heaters, Ventilation Fans, Cooks Tops etc. Now most of these products in the same category have similar attributes but only difference in size or color. Now when we add a new product it is a pain to fill all the fields that contains the product specifications. I thought there must be a way to clone it.
Last week I prepared the sprint of the tasks that we are going to accomplish for the remaining part of August. We spent almost 2 hours working on the priorities and decided this that are quite important to us. That included delivering Drupal projects and learning new technologies. At sparxsys we are quite serious about doing new things, it keeps our work interesting and also gives us immense satisfaction that we are learning new stuff and of course as an IT company it is always good to learn new things.
Ever since we started provided JIRA Training and Consultancy services back in 2012, we started receiving several requests from various companies across India. It all started with one blog which I wrote on my personal blog ravisagar.in and within just 2 days I received one lead for JIRA Consultancy from a medium sized company who wanted to implement JIRA for simple Project Management. We not only implemented JIRA for them but also trained their employees to use it.
Things have been really exciting these days, in fact the past 14 months were really nice. We moved to a shiny new office at Netaji Subhash Place, delivered some really challenging projects and have plenty of exciting projects to work on. Also over the past few months few really talented and passionate people joined our company. Things are on right track and couldn’t be much better, but of course we want to do much more.
Here we started working on Omega 4 theme for Drupal 7. Its actually great to work on it.

Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can use the Web. More specifically, Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the Web, and that they can contribute to the Web. Web accessibility also benefits others, including older people with changing abilities due to aging.
