Sparxsys Customer Terms of Use

These Customer Terms ("Terms") govern your use of Sparxsys-developed apps listed on the Atlassian Marketplace, including:

  • Stay on Top for Jira
  • Sprint Runner for Jira
  • QR Code for Jira

By installing or using any of these apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. License Grant

Sparxsys grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the apps solely within your Atlassian instance, subject to Atlassian's Marketplace Terms and these Terms.

2. Use of Our Apps

  • Apps may be used for internal business purposes only.
  • You are responsible for managing who within your organization can access and configure the apps.
  • The apps are designed with privacy by design and do not store customer data outside of the Atlassian environment.

3. App Features and Behavior

Each app performs specific functions within the Jira interface:

  • Stay on Top: Displays issue context and insights. Future updates will include administrative utilities and reporting, all operating within Jira.
  • Sprint Runner: Automates sprint management (starting, stopping, and post-sprint actions) for board admins. No external data is stored.
  • QR Code: Generates a scannable QR code for each issue, customizable in size. All processing is client-side or within Jira.

4. Support and Updates

  • Support is provided via support@sparxsys.com.
  • Updates are delivered through the Atlassian Marketplace. We aim to maintain compatibility and security with each release.

5. Intellectual Property

All Sparxsys apps, including their design and code, are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. No rights are granted beyond those necessary for use.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to privacy:

  • No user or issue data is stored, processed, or transmitted externally.
  • We comply with data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and relevant UK data protection legislation.

7. Warranty Disclaimer

All apps are provided "as-is."
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the apps will meet your specific requirements or operate uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of Liability

Sparxsys will not be liable for:

  • Any indirect or consequential damages;
  • Loss of data or profits;
  • Damages exceeding the total fees paid in the last 12 months for the app in question.

9. Termination

You may uninstall the app at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or Atlassian’s guidelines.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our apps, business practices, or legal obligations. Continued use of the apps after such updates implies acceptance.
