- Learn Forge development.
- Understand REST API integrations.
- Pick up Node.js and React basics to build apps.
The Cloud ecosystem is Atlassian’s future, and starting here will give you long-term relevance.
If You’re an Experienced Jira Admin/Consultant
If you’ve already mastered Jira Cloud or have 3–5 years of experience, now is the time to:
- Expand into Jira Data Center.
- Learn system administration — installing, upgrading, patching, and managing multi-node setups.
- Master ScriptRunner for Jira with Groovy scripting for deep automation and customization.
- Explore AWS hosting and infrastructure setups for self-managed instances.
Why Data Center Skills Still Matter
- Shrinking Talent Pool
- Fewer professionals are working with Jira Data Center.
