Yesterday I went to the Atlassian London Viewing Party. It was a great experience to meet fellow Atlassian users, clients and other partners. @atlassian @sparxsys #atlassianteam22

The event was organised by Atlassian at "The View, Lincoln’s Inn Fields". It is awesome venue, I was working near South Bank so I thought I would just walk, it was only 20 minute walk, the weather in London yesterday was overall good but it was a bit too windy. The venue address was incorrect on the Google Maps which was a bit surprising, however I met Biro from Jexo also trying to find the venue. Anyways after few minutes we managed to find it and the event started exactly on time at 18:00.

Overall it was a nice experience, I met few partners and came to know about what they have been doing. There were two recorded talks that we watched and in the end there was one more talk on Jira Cloud migrations. I am glad I went there, I came to know about the upcoming plans of Atlassian, especially there new products.

Personally I am super excited about Atlassian Data Lake which I believe would be an awesome tool and I can definitely see the value it can provide. Reporting is a big requirements, every organisation is interested in creating wonderful report. Jira has all the data but the native dashboards are not always enough. I have always loved working on eazyBI because that is the only app that can help me and my client create wonderful advanced reports. I have been making lot of videos on eazyBI which you can watch here. This eazyBI course that I have been building would help anyone trying to create dynamic drill down reports.

At Sparxsys we also have two apps on the marketplace called Stay on top and JQL Maximiser. We are also currently working on the cloud equivalent of Stay on top app using Atlassian Forge, this app will display useful issue information in a separate panel whereas JQL Maximiser as the name suggest will give you additional JQL functions. Product development is something that we want to grow in future.

Ok that is. Bye for now :)
